Pressteks 52DI digital offset press offers both traditional offset and digital printers the most profitable solution for quick turnaround, short-run, high-quality color printing. The 52DI targets the fastest growing segment of the print market – runs of 500 to 20,000 sheets, the strategic gap between production toner-based digital presses and conventional offset. Typically, job profitability is 13 percent higher on a DI compared to a conventional press. Against a production volume color toner-based digital device, the DI press is even more impressive – on average, it saves 50 percent per letter size page, according to research firm, InfoTrends.
Superior Quality for a Wide Range of Applications
The Presstek 52DI can expand the print service providers offering with its ability to print on a wide range of substrates- from onion skin to heavy card stock (up to 20 pt.), including synthetics. Superior-quality printing is achieved with up to 300 lpi and FM screening, and all without incurring additional time or expense.
Fast Turnaround
This landscape digital offset press offers the ability to produce more jobs in less time with its highly automated functions, waterless press design, and operating speed of up to 10,000 sheets per hour with a maximum print area of 520 x 375 mm per sheet. Makereadies, including plate imaging and blanket washing, are completed in 10 minutes, while sellable color is produced within 20 sheets, delivering fast turnaround times.
Presstek Compass 4000 Series CTP Systems are highly automated, open platform 4-up platesetters that image plate sizes up to 685 x 669 mm at a rate of up to 15 and 38 plates per hour. Ideal for a wide range of printing environments, Presstek Compass platesetters, imaging up to 250 lpi, are offered for use with Pressteks Aurora Pro chemistry-free plates and also image a range of low energy (830 nm laser) third-party thermal plates. Compass system standard configurations are semi-automatic and feature continuous plate loading. Users can add several options to boost automation and productivity, including single or multiple cassette autoloaders and inline standard or custom plate punches. Compass systems integrate easily with industry-standard workflow solutions, including Pressteks Latitude and Momentum Pro.

Automated plate handling allows users to preload up to 30 plates and produces plates at a speed of up to 17 Anthem Pro thermal plates per hour.
