Claus-Peter Schrack Appointed to Head Corporate Communications at Gruner + Jahr
Thursday 30. April 2009 - Claus-Peter Schrack, 43, will take the helm of Gruner + Jahr's Corporate Communications department in Hamburg with effect from June 1, 2009.
In this role, he will supervise all of the company’s external and internal communications both in Germany and on international level, reporting directly to Dr. Bernd Buchholz, Chairman & CEO of Gruner + Jahr. Schrack comes to Hamburg from the Munich-based company Loyalty Partner, whose businesses include Germany’s largest bonus program, Payback. He has spent the past three years handling all corporate communications as well as public affairs and corporate marketing for Loyalty Partner, Payback and all subsidiaries.
Claus-Peter Schrack holds a degree in Public Relations and Marketing from the Bavarian Academy of Advertising and Marketing (BAW) in Munich and has nearly 20 years of professional experience in corporate communications and corporate marketing. Among other things, he built the U.S. strategy consulting firm Bain & Company’s corporate communications and marketing department in the German-speaking countries, served three years as Vice President Communications & Marketing for the British private equity investment group Apax Partners, and was A.T. Kearney’s Director Communications and Marketing Central Europe.
