ProPak Asia 2009 highlights innovations that boost cost reduction and energy efficiency

Tuesday 28. April 2009 - Bangkok Exhibition Services Co Ltd (BES), announced that the ProPak Asia 2009 event to be held in June at BITEC Bang-na this year has attracted many new exhibitors and will be hosting a wide scope of exciting conference sessions.

Focusing on cost reduction and energy efficiency for food processing, packaging and other related industries, ProPak Asia 2009 welcomes more than 800 international exhibitors and is expected to attract up to 30,000 visitors fromaround the world representing food and drink processing, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, consumer products.

ProPak Asia was first organized in Singapore in 1983, and in Bangkok in 1989. After continuous development, the event has become the region’s premier manufacturing and packaging technology showcase and has been undoubtedly considered as a strategic platform for potential buyers and sellers, as well as specialists from public and private sectors, entrepreneurs and investors from around the globe to share their insights and create new opportunities.

BES Managing Director David Aitken said, “Today’s manufacturing technology puts much emphasis on improving productivity that leads to strategic cost reduction and increased production efficiency across the entire marketing process. This consequently results in greater competitive advantages amidst current economic uncertainties and volatile fuel prices.”

ProPak Asia 2008 experienced a phenomenal achievement with more than 700 leading processing and packaging machine manufacturers from Japan, Germany, China, Singapore, UK, Korea, Taiwan, Italy, India, USA, Australia, Spain, France, to name a few, participating in the four-day show which attract a record number of more than 27,003 local and international visitors. With active support from public and private sectors, domestically and internationally, ProPak Asia 2009 is ensured to offer more opportunities and provide the most comprehensive technology solutions for diverse industries.

“Highlights of this year’s event include the biggest assembly of processing and packaging machines and materials as well as more comprehensive updates on food & drink processing, filling, food testing and pharmaceuticals. Moreover, trade exhibition space for laboratory equipment will be expanding its space to meet the increasing international demand for product R&D and quality assurance” commented David Aitken.

Additional activities at ProPak Asia 2009 such as lectures, seminars and workshops will be held in cooperation with national organizations and technology institutions.

ProPak Asia 2009, the 17th international processing, filling and packaging technology event for Asia, will be held on Wednesday – Saturday, 17 – 20 June 2009 at Halls 101-104 BITEC Bang-na in Bangkok.
