The UPS Store: Bringing Sign Printing in House with Mutoh’s ValueJet 1614

Hank Kronbach, Franchisee Owner of several The UPS Stores in the Winston-Salem area, decided to bring the Sign Printing Industry in house to one of his locations for the first time with Mutoh’s ValueJet 1614-64” printer.

Monday 20. April 2009 - Hank Kronbach, Franchisee Owner of several The UPS Stores in the Winston-Salem area, decided to bring the Sign Printing Industry in house to one of his locations for the first time with Mutoh’s ValueJet 1614-64" printer.

The UPS Store located in Winston-Salem has been up and running with Mutoh’s ValueJet since June 2008. The store no longer has to farm these projects out and is serving as a hub for sign projects needed by the 21 surrounding UPS stores. The UPS Store offers UPS shipping, packaging services, freight, signs/banners, documents services including color copies, mail box services, and much more.

The Winston-Salem location has doubled in size and has been remodeled to accommodate the new Sign Department in house.

“Things have been taking off, I have hired an outside sales and marketing professional with many years of experience in the graphics and sign business to focus solely on the Sign Department. The images we print off the ValueJet are fabulous! We are very pleased with the output,” said Kronbach.

Lesa Mullins, Head of the Sign Department for The UPS Store says, “The resolution of the prints at 720 DPI is beautiful and the machine is very low maintenance!” Mullins has been cross trained to know the UPS side of the business, as well as the sign/design and production side.

Kronbach’s The UPS Store has been in operation for over 20 years and is one of 5,000 The UPS Stores worldwide. There is great potential for a Sign Department to become active in many of The UPS Store locations across the US. The Mutoh ValueJet printer was sold to The UPS Store and is supported through Advantage Sign Supply
