Borealis re-assigns roles in Polyolefins Leadership Team
Thursday 16. April 2009 - Borealis, a leading provider of innovative, value-creating plastics solutions, announces two changes within its Polyolefins Leadership Team in line with its strategy to further develop its leadership across the company.
As of April 1, 2009, Hans-Christian Ambjerg, the current Vice President of Borealis’ Wire & Cable Business Unit, will take over the position of Vice President Film & Fibre from Marc Hubert. Marc succeeds Hans-Christian as Vice President Wire & Cable.
“Marc and Hans-Christian have contributed significantly to Borealis’ business development over the last few years, leading to a major turnaround in the Film & Fibre area and putting the Wire & Cable business on track to a solid global leadership position,” comments Lorenzo Delorenzi, Executive Vice President Polyolefins. “Their switch in roles will allow both business units to benefit from a broader understanding of the different markets and to capitalise on the strengths of both leaders. “
Hans-Christian Ambjerg is Danish and joined Borealis as Vice President Wire & Cable in 2005, he has more than 12 years experience in senior management positions, heading up divisions and Business Units. A graduate of the Danish Technical University of Copenhagen and the Scandinavian International Management Institute, Hans Christian holds a Master of Science degree in chemical engineering and an Executive MBA.
Marc Hubert is Dutch and joined Borealis in December 2002 as Marketing Manager in the Business Unit Moulding. From September 2005 until December 2006 he was Director Commercial Excellence, responsible for raising the commercial capabilities in the Polyolefin Business Group. He was appointed Vice President Film & Fibre in 2007. Marc holds a Bachelor of Science degree in flexible production automation as well as a Master of Science degree in production and operational management from the University of Twente in the Netherlands.
