Wyndeham Impact Invests in Press Upgrade
Tuesday 14. April 2009 - Wyndeham Impact today announces that it has invested in a 3rd UV varnishing unit which will be added to its Heidelberg 8pp Mini-Web 6 colour press. The Basingstoke based company specialises in producing magazine covers for the UK publishing industry with clients such as IPC Media, Natmags, Haymarket and Bauer.
This latest press investment means that Wyndeham Impact now has 3 fully functioning 8pp, 12pp and 16pp presses, equipped to print up to 6 colours both sides with UV varnishing in-line and sheeting capabilities. This gives the company additional flexibility, and the capability to produce magazine and brochure covers, special one-off supplements and general commercial work including spine glueing.
Ian Tarry, Managing Director, Wyndeham Impact said:
“Impacts press line up is unique amongst UK printers with a full suite of high speed web presses able to produce 6 colour products with UV varnishing in-line. The press upgrading programme will further boost capacity and contingency at key production times. It also enhances our capability to produce 6 colour commercial work across all 3 presses, something our customers increasingly demand.”
The investment at Wyndeham Impact follows the acquisition of the Wyndeham Press Group by Walstead Investments Ltd in December 2008 and subsequent financial restructuring.
