Friday 10. April 2009 - With a resolution of 360 dpi and low-cost consumables, the GAMMA 70 opens up new possibilities for direct printing on paper, film, plastic and metal

Atlantic Zeiser, leading developer and provider of digital narrow web printing solutions, is to present its latest digital UV inkjet printing and coding solutions at FESPA Digital, the international digital printing trade fair being held from 12 to 14 May 2009 in Amsterdam. The GAMMA 70 four-color UV inkjet printing system, to be unveiled at FESPA, will be the main focus of Atlantic Zeiser’s display on Stand N 65 in Hall 7.

“At FESPA, we will use the GAMMA 70 to give visitors a taste of the various applications that will easily be possible in UV inkjet printing in the future. The GAMMA 70 even makes short-run color printing an economic option. As a full service integrator in narrow web printing, Atlantic Zeiser can configure stand-alone systems, components for integration in web and sheetfed systems or complete systems depending on the customer’s requirements,” explains Ralf Hipp, Vice President of Digital Printing & Coding Solutions. In addition to the traditional target markets, such as packaging and labeling, commercial print, security print and card manufacturing, the new UV inkjet printing system is also particularly suitable for labels printing and industrial product identification on substrates beyond the usual paper and cardboard.

This fully integrated color printing solution is characterized, on the one hand, by its unique compact single-pass four-color printhead system for the four CMYK process colors and, on the other hand, by the economic UV-cured inks it uses,  which adhere to a wide variety of porous and non-porous substrates, including plastic cards and films and metallic foils as well as paper. In addition to the 360 dpi high resolution and 70.5mm printing width, the system also features a variable drop size and offers up to 8 levels of grayscale. This ensures differentiated color gradients and shades and is therefore ideally suited to printing four-color texts, logos, graphics and barcodes. Finally, the specially developed AZ controller allows the print speed to be increased up to 24m/min.
