New CB 18 Stacker from Muller Martini for Perfect Binders in Upper Performance Range
Thursday 02. April 2009 - Speedy Set-Up and Changeover Times thanks to Full Automation
The new CB 18 stacker from Muller Martini designed to be used in the upper performance range of adhesive binding is fully automated, thereby enabling quick set-up and changeover times.
A regulated pusher with servo technology ensures that the stacks are pushed out quickly whilst retaining their shape, even when the line has a high output. The products are supported on all sides in the prestacking unit, which means they can be guided downward to the turntable in a controlled manner. The device can work with both compensated and uncompensated stacks.
The CB 18 can be adapted to meet individual and varying needs in the production of adhesive-bound magazines, catalogs, paperbacks, brochures and bookblocks for hardcovers. The CB 18 can be used directly after the three-knife trimmer or within the conveyor section.
Thanks to the fully automated size changeover, set-up times are reduced to a minimum. The size data can be transferred directly to a new three-knife trimmer from Muller Martini, thereby further reducing set-up times.
Process reliability for feeding and delivering products
The stacker is mobile and can be easily placed in the desired position within the system. Along with reliable feeding and delivering of products, the key benefits of the CB 18 include flexible application thanks to its diverse configurations. The large plexiglass doors give operators a perfect line of sight into the machine.
