Albert Kahns work passes with Distinction
Friday 27. March 2009 - Quality oozes from the coffee table brochure produced to show just how great the reproduction can be on Distinction fine paper, produced at the Lana Mill in Strasbourg and distributed exclusively in the UK by PaperCo.
The Archives of the Planet use early photographs or auto chromes of wealthy banker and pacifist Albert Kahn between 1909 and 1931. He sent photographers all over the world to add to his collection to promote understanding between cultures and peace. Today his collection is held in the Museum Albert-Kahn in Boulogne-Bilancourt.
Ian Braithwaite, marketing manager of PaperCo, says: “The unusually fine-grained structure of these early photos required an extremely smooth and stable paper surface to recreate good replication. The subtle colour and the sophisticated grain of the photos are retained. Distinction truly lives up to its name. It is a popular brand with printers needing to recreate highly distinctive work.”
Distinction is ideal for image consistency and enhancement across a range of offset inkjet and laser technologies and is available Laid or Wove and in brilliant white, ivory, natural and pearlescent hues.
