FUJIFILM Sericol showcases euromedia and Acuity Advance X2 at Sign & Digital UK 2009

Tuesday 17. March 2009 - FUJIFILM Sericol today announces its plans for this year’s Sign & Digital UK (stand C20, Halls 6-8, NEC, Birmingham, 28 - 30 April 2009), with the first UK showing of the Acuity Advance X2 wide format UV inkjet printer and a focus on ‘euromedia’, FUJIFILM Sericol’s dedicated offering for Large Format Printing.

Launched in the UK late last year, euromedia is a wide range of products for print service providers interested in UV or solvent-based hardware, media, or finishing.

The Acuity Advance X2, launched in February this year, is capable of printing onto substrates of 3.05m x 2.5m and as thick as 48mm. The dual zoning system with independent vacuum control allows the printing of an image in one zone while setting up another image in the second, thereby increasing throughput. Incorporating small drop, greyscale printhead technology, the Acuity Advance X2 delivers near-photographic image quality and includes a true flatbed platform to easily print onto a wide variety of rigid substrates. For printing roll media, the Maxjet solvent-based printer and Acuity with roll option will also be demonstrated.

At the heart of the euromedia offering lie hundreds of media products for all water-based, solvent-based and laminating applications. For example, Startex FR is an innovative multi-tasking banner with a textile look and printable both sides, easy to handle, light and thin yet extremely tear resistant. Fabric Harmony FR is a flame retardant universal polyester textile that allows production of brilliant, vibrant graphics for exhibition banners and indoor and outdoor displays as well as awnings. Thanks to its special coating, Fabric Harmony is extremely tear resistant, wirable and dimensionally stable.

Thousands of customers in Europe already use euromedia products at the core of their Large Format Printing businesses, working alongside FUJIFILM Sericol to build successful printing businesses.
