Presstek Strengthens European Presence with New Office in France

Frédéric Le Goff appointed as Country Manager

Wednesday 11. March 2009 - Frédéric Le Goff appointed as Country Manager

Presstek, Inc., a leading manufacturer and marketer of digital offset printing solutions, has bolstered its position in Europe with the establishment of Presstek France. The move underlines the company’s commitment to strengthening its presence in key European territories.  The new subsidiary will serve the French print market and will work side by side with Presstek’s strategic partners in France, AJ Plus and Argos.

Presstek France will be spearheaded by Frédéric Le Goff, who has been appointed Country Manager: “Setting up a new operation in France represents the latest component of Presstek Europe’s growth strategy,” says Guy Sasson, Presstek President Europe, Africa and Middle East Region. “By having a direct presence in the region, we’ll be better placed to provide a greater level of sales and technical support to our customers and partners in the area.”

During the past 15 years, Le Goff has held several key sales and managerial roles with various companies. Prior to joining Presstek, Le Goff fronted the leading Kodak Graphic Communication Group sales team in France. Le Goff brings years of valuable experience to his new role: “Commercial printers are always looking for the right tool for the right job, and they require the flexibility to address a wide range of applications. We’re seeing a clear trend in the market for shorter print runs and quick turnaround. The Presstek product portfolio, combined with the expertise and support of our channel partners, is the perfect combination to help French printers make their businesses more efficient, more productive and, ultimately, more profitable.”

One of Le Goff’s main tasks will be to help Presstek customers reap the rewards of digital offset printing: “Presstek DI presses provide high-quality, short-run color printing at a lower cost compared to other production methods for run lengths between 250 and 20,000. We want to show our customers how they can use digital offset to carve out higher profit margins, and increase productivity and revenue growth.” Le Goff believes that France also holds some other environmentally-friendly opportunities for Presstek: “We continually monitor industry trends and what we’re seeing is an increasing demand for chemistry-free plates. This makes Presstek’s Aurora Pro chemistry-free open platform plate ideal for this market.”

With Presstek France expected to hit the ground running, other new Presstek operations are a distinct possibility. Guy Sasson says, “We anticipate that Presstek France will soon play a key role for printers in the region, and we’re already exploring other countries where we can establish a direct presence and cement our position as a market leader.”

Guy Sasson is pleased to have landed Le Goff and is confident that Presstek France is in very capable hands: “Frédéric has an excellent track record in sales within the graphic arts industry and we’re delighted to have him on board.   The opening of Presstek France marks a very exciting time for the company, and we’ve no doubt that Frédéric will take this new subsidiary from strength to strength. His acute understanding of market trends will be of immediate benefit to our customers in the region. In his previous roles, he has demonstrated leadership and a real flair for implementing successful sales and marketing strategies. His vast experience in digital printing and CTP makes him the ideal person to help our customers meet their challenges head on, and ensure they’re equipped to set themselves apart from their competitors.”
