Omagh, Ireland Newspaper Group continues to expand with Goss technology
Monday 09. March 2009 - The Omagh based Newspaper Group, North West of Ireland Printing and Publishing, whose titles include the Ulster Herald and Tyrone Herald, has continued with its press expansion programme, placing an order for a new Goss N40 folder equipped with quarterfolding capabilities.
This latest investment will enable the company to run higher pagination products on its Community SSC press. The quarterfolder will provide added versatility, allowing the company to produce a wider range of products.
This is the third expansion of the press in Omagh. Goss International previously added additional colour capacity to the press with the installation of new printing towers.
Dominic McClements, the group’s general manager, states, “This latest investment with Goss is part of a planned strategy throughout N.W.I.P.P. which will enable us to cope with the current challenges facing the publishing industry whilst continuing to meet the demands of our expanding readership.”
John Chambers, Goss International sales director, adds, “I am delighted that N.W.I.P.P have selected us as their preferred supplier once again. We look forward to supporting the next phase of their expansion.”
