WIFAG is prepared for the future with a rejuvenated management
Friday 06. March 2009 - After decades of continuity with regard to the personnel, over the last few months WIFAG has accomplished a systematic generation change in the top management.
Mr. Michael Fleissner already assumed the responsibility of WIFAG CFO last year as the successor to Mr. Fritz Strasser, who has retired.
From 1st January 2009, Thomas Doliwa MSc. has taken over the challenging job of Director Sales, which Mr. Götz Stein successfully carried out for many years in addition to his current responsibility as President of the Board of Directors. Götz Stein was the WIFAG “front man” for many decades and has fashioned the company, its products and the various international contacts and connections as no other. His accomplishments have set challenging standards, against which the future management will be measured.
Although Mr. Doliwa takes up his new challenge in an extremely difficult market situation; he is however excellently prepared by his previous professional career
.
He was already at home in many newspaper companies as the partner for Digiset and Pressfax systems during his activity as newspaper systems sales manager for Dr.-Ing. Rudolf Hell GmbH in Kiel.
On the other side of the table, as the manager of central technical purchasing for the Axel Springer Verlag AG in Hamburg, he was able to gain valuable, and international experience over many years. After the reunification of Germany, as a member of the board he successfully built-up and formed the sales for the newly-founded KBA-Planeta AG in Radebeul, Saxony over many years.
After a short excursion as the COO of a medium-sized machine tool manufacturer, he first took over the management of the Business Unit “Image Capture”, and a short time later the Business Unit “Prepress” at the Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG in Kiel.
Then the international part of his career followed, as Président Directeur Général of Heidelberg France S.A. in Tremblay-en-France and as Managing Director of Mitsubishi Lithographic Presses (UK) Ltd. in Leeds, West Yorkshire.

The management will be additionally rejuvenated by Mr. Christian Miescher as the new Technical Division Manager with Bernhard Muth as his deputy. They take over these duties as the successor to Kurt Recher, who has also retired.
