Nivell Publicitari has purchased three HP UV printers: two HP Scitex XP2700 Printers and an HP Scitex XP5300 Printer.

Thursday 05. March 2009 - HP today announced that Nivell Publicitari has purchased three HP UV printers: two HP Scitex XP2700 Printers and an HP Scitex XP5300 Printer, to increase its productivity and offer its customers new services.

Based in Barcelona, Nivell Publicitari was founded in 2006 and specialises in producing a range of graphics including banners, posters, window and exhibition graphics, signage, vehicle livery and building wraps for its customers. The company has an annual turnover of 6 million Euros and outdoor advertising items account for 70 percent of its sales.

The HP Scitex XP2700 Printer and the HP Scitex XP5300 Printer are designed for fast-paced production environments, featuring top printing speeds of up to 110m2 per hour and 300m2 per hour respectively.

The HP Scitex XP2700 Inflatable Feeder and Collector and the HP Scitex XP5300 On-Core collector are designed for simplified media handling, shortening media loading and unloading times, increase productivity and maximise throughput.

“We believe that one of the keys to our success is our ability to turn around and deliver jobs quickly,” said Juan Alba, production manager, Nivell Publicitari. “We have been very impressed with the efficiency and reliability of our new HP printers, they can print for many hours without needing to stop. This has the advantage of ensuring that jobs get completed in the shortest possible time, most within 24 hours.”

Already, the company has carried out a number of high-profile jobs on the new printers. These include using the HP Scitex XP2700 to print 130 graphic panels direct to forex for a large bank, and 315 window graphics of varying sizes for Deutsche Bank. For a Spanish Association of Basketball Clubs, Nivell Publicitari printed a graphic with a diameter of 360mm on self-adhesive non-slip vinyl graphics for use on the floor of the court. The company also printed 150 8x3m billboards on vinyl for the Barcelona Football Club elections as well as indoor and outdoor promotional graphics for the Accor hotel group.

“Our customers wanted to see a change in our services and technology and we were requested to move our production to UV technology to respect the environment and to improve the image definition,” said Alba. “Purchasing our new printers has allowed us to keep our existing customers happy and to win new business – even during the recent economic downturn, where our sales have already grown by five percent. In 2009 we are expecting to see a 20 percent increase in our business thanks to the installation of our new HP printers.”
