New KODAK Scan Station 500 Combines Speed and Simplicity to Help Businesses Improve Digital Document Workflow

Wednesday 04. March 2009 - Kodak enables businesses to take the next step in information technology with a new networked scanning device that helps improve workplace productivity and assists in reducing operating costs.

The KODAK Scan Station 500 redefines smart technology through its combination of performance, functionality and reliability. Customers can shorten the time required to process information with the Scan Station 500’s ability to efficiently manage and deliver documents through email, fax, network routing and integrated workflow capabilities.

The Scan Station 500, equipped with Kodak’s exclusive Voice Attachment feature, allows users to send audio messages with personalized comments or instructions along with scanned images to ensure clear communications. An eight inch LCD color touch screen provides programmable shortcuts and an intuitive graphical user interface further enhancing the Scan Station 500’s focus on ease of use.
“With the touch of a button, users can easily send high quality images of scanned documents to multiple destinations simultaneously, including network drives, FTP sites, printers, email, fax and portable USB drives,” said Webster. “Now they can even send a personalized voice message with those images.”
The Scan Station 500’s robust design provides exceptional paper handling and many image enhancing features designed to help end users extract information from a variety of documents. Equipped with a 75 sheet feeder and a daily duty cycle of 1,500 scans, the Scan Station 500 provides 200 dots per inch color duplex scanning at up to 30 pages per minute. The Scan Station 500 also utilizes Kodak’s exclusive Perfect Page Image Processing Technology to enhance the integrity and accuracy of digital information captured from paper documents.
Tethered A3 or A4 flatbed scanners and a tactile keyboard are among the available accessories.
Notable Solutions, Inc. (NSi) AUTOSTORE Software is available as an option for Scan Station 500 customers. Additionally, the KODAK Scan Station 520EX is available for ISV integration. The KODAK Scan Station 500 will be exclusively available through CDW from March 9 through April 10. The KODAK Scan Station 500 has a U.S. list price of $2,495.
