Presstek Demonstrates Environmentally-friendly Printing Solutions at Northprint 2009
Tuesday 17. February 2009 - Presstek Inc, a leading manufacturer and marketer of digital offset printing solutions, will be demonstrating its environmentally friendly DI digital offset press, chemistry-free CTP systems, and workflow solutions at Northprint, which will be held at the Harrogate Exhibition Centre from 21-23 April 2009. Presstek 52DI Digital Offset Press
The Presstek highly automated 52DI landscape press, which operates at a print speed of up to 10,000 impressions per hour with a maximum sheet size of 520 x 375mm (20,000 A4 pages an hour) is a must see for companies looking for a faster and more profitable way to produce environmentally friendly, high quality, short run colour printing. Its waterless printing and on-press chemistry-free platemaking combine to provide high quality printing and significantly less overall waste than conventional printing processes. On-press imaging ensures precise registration and fast run-up. The DIs ability to go from file to sellable colour within 20 sheets means fast turnaround with less makeready waste. Presstek DI digital offset presses offer the ability to print on a wide range of substrates from 0.06mm to 0.5mm thick. High quality is achieved with up to 300 lpi printing as well as stochastic (FM) screening, without incurring additional time or expense.

Presstek Compass Series Platesetters
At Northprint, Presstek will showcase the Compass Series 4038 4-up platesetter with multiple plate size autoloading. It images up to 38 Aurora Pro plates an hour. These daylight-safe, chemistry-free grained aluminium plates require only a simple water wash prior to mounting on press. They are rated up to 25,000 impressions and have strong resistance to UV inks and solvents.
Presstek Vector FL52 Platesetter
Presstek will be demonstrating the Vector FL52, the new version of Pressteks easy-to-use, small format chemistry-free metal platemaking solution. The FL52 features a fibre laser imaging system that is engineered to deliver excellent dot quality and high reliability. It supports a wide range of plate sizes and will be demonstrated using Pressteks chemistry-free Freedom Pro plates. Freedom Pro provides superior print performance, improved roll-up, better ink and water latitude, overall colour consistency throughout the press run and excellent on-press handling.
