50th anniversary of production print in 2009
In 2009, InfoPrint is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the IBM 1403, which marked the beginning of high speed and volume printing. Launched in 1959, the IBM 1403 was four times faster than any other available machines and led the market until the early 1970s. InfoPrint today maintains its position as an innovator in production print.
Ongoing innovation from InfoPrint and Ricoh
InfoPrint continues to announce ongoing innovations and enhancements to its technology developed in conjunction with parent company Ricoh, to offer improved productivity and increased flexibility for customers of all sizes. For example recent enhancements to its monochrome continuous forms print portfolio – the InfoPrint 4100, InfoPrint 75 and InfoPrint 100 – highlight the importance of monochrome as a flexible, cost-effective and sustainable print option.
The InfoPrint 4100 continuous forms printer produces high quality monochrome output that is typically only available using cutsheet solutions. It offers users broader paper selection options, now including mechanical pulp paper which uses fewer trees. The InfoPrint 4100 also delivers some of the highest speeds currently on the market for electrophotographic printers and allows for the production of more output with less operator time increasing productivity.
