Ricoh Americas Corporation, a leading provider of digital office equipment, today announced that the Pharos iMFP solution for Ricoh is now available upon passing the Ricoh Developer Program’s (RiDP) compatibility testing. An integrated print management software offering for Ricoh multifunction products (MFPs), the Pharos iMFP for Ricoh provides businesses security, confidentiality, waste reduction and cost savings, while offering convenience to the end user. Organizations that manage heavy document workflows and sensitive information, such as healthcare companies, financial services firms and higher education institutions, will benefit greatly from this economical, secure solution.

Developers seeking to reduce their time to market have long enjoyed the many benefits of the Ricoh Developer Program. Capitalizing on Ricoh’s open and advanced platform known as Embedded Software Architecture (ESA), Premier Plus level developers enjoy an abundance of Java based tools and support resources unparalleled in the industry. With the Pharos iMFP for Ricoh, organizations can control an individual’s access to classified information and refuse to release prints if they are not an authorized party, ensuring customer privacy. Not only does the solution require users to log-in at the MFP by swiping an ID card or entering a username and password, but the Pharos Secure Release Here(TM) feature holds jobs until the user logs into the MFP and selects which documents in the queue to produce. Located inside the MFP and powered by Pharos Blueprint(R) Enterprise or Pharos Uniprint(R), users access the Pharos iMFP for Ricoh right on the MFP touch screen.
