Kodak Hits the Road to Deliver Education, Tools for Success
Friday 13. February 2009 - Free Connect the Dots events bring valuable resources to customers around the country
Following an extremely successful launch of the Connect the Dots: Leadership Seminar series in 2008, Kodak is once again bringing its expertise out into the market with these leadership seminars that offer much needed insight and education to service providers from all segments of the industry. Nearly 500 professionals have already registered for the next event that takes place as part of the Educational Forum at the Graphics of the Americas show in Miami on Friday, February 27 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Co-sponsored by the Printing Association of Florida, the seminars are designed to be convenient to attend for time pressured executives in todays competitive print environment.
“Feedback we got from attendees at last years events showed us that there is a significant demand for these kinds of forums,” said Rick Mazur, Commercial Segment Leader, Kodak. “The intimate conversations and direct interaction are critical in these challenging economic times. Our event gives printers and other graphic arts professionals a focused opportunity to hear from some of the leaders in the industry, discuss important trends, and talk to their peers.”
The Connect the Dots: Leadership Seminar includes these sessions:
Keynote: “Big Challenges Require Big Ideas” – the latest in industry and commercial print trends with insights on what profit leading businesses are doing to win in the current market. Presented by Rick Mazur, this session will include information from Dr. Joe Webb of Whattheythink.com, one of the topic experts for the Connect the Dots seminar series.
“Brighten Your Profit Picture through Zero Touch Automation” features an entertaining demo of key players implementing new print applications and how tools such as web to print and workflow automation can make a huge impact on your profit picture, presented by Christian Langenberg, Alan Larsen, and Lori Maras.
Understanding the business impact of workflow automation and integration to increase margins in offset and digital print production environments is the focus of “Benchmarks in Profitability.” Presented by Jim Aust, this session includes an economic analysis of “Zero Touch” automation, along with an overview of the digital printing business model and the process of handling small jobs efficiently, including showing cash flow and efficiency gains from real profit and loss statements.
“Successful Selling Strategies for New Products and Services” focuses on processes and tools to power up sales and marketing support for these new applications and services, as well as the Top 10 initiatives printers can implement immediately for more effective marketing and sales, presented by Bob Barbera.
“Professionals need to spend their time wisely,” added Mazur, “and we are helping them get the most out of a few hours. Kodak is committed to helping customers identify opportunities for adding new revenue, streamlining processes, and building a stronger business.”
This event is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 27 at the Graphics of the Americas Show at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Miami, Florida. Kodak is exhibiting at Graphics of the Americas in booth #778.
Future events will be announced after the Graphics of the Americas show and will feature “Dr. Joe Sightings”, as well as highlighted presentations from Dr. Joe and other leading authorities in the industry.
