Heidelberg beats off competition to secure Printank order
Friday 13. February 2009 - Leicester trade printer Printank says the advantages of Inpress Control, an inline colour inspection system, in a competitive printing market is what swung its buying decision in favour of Heidelberg.
“On our seven year old SM 74-5 we are making ready in 15-20 minutes; with the Speedmaster XL 75-5+L with Inpress Control we will achieve makeready in seven to ten minutes,” says managing director Naresh Tank.
The company offers a nationwide service to printers and agencies and its quality standards, turnround times and costs have to be competitive. Taking the latest generation B2 Speedmaster takes Printank into a new productivity league. The press is specified with five units to meet the demand for special and spot colours and the coater to meet the increasingly tight deadlines.
For the colour control Printank says that Inpress Control combined with the latest Prinect module Pressroom Manager is vital. Pressroom Manager will allow the company seamlessly link its prepress, press and Tharstern MIS into a single workflow.
“We will achieve very fast makeready, first rate colour and accurate production reports with this investment,” says Mr Tank who works at the company alongside three brothers and a nephew, part of the 22 strong team.
The company is looking to take on new sales staff, having to date secured work only on word of mouth recommendation.
In total Printank is spending £900,000 with Heidelberg, believing that the new kit will make its operators lives easier and give customers an even better service.
