Roland Introduces the LPX 3D Laser Scanner for Reverse Engineering
Thursday 29. January 2009 - Roland DG Corporation is pleased to announce the launch of its latest 3D laser scanners for reverse engineering, the LPX-60/600/1200 RE series, featuring Pixform ProII (reverse engineering software) that converts scanned data into editable 3D CAD models.
“The new LPX 3D laser scanner package is the best choice for product design and production, as it can quickly and easily transform existing parts or manually designed models into high-resolution parametric 3D CAD data,” said Kiyoshi Sogo, Roland DG 3D Product Manager. “These powerful 3D scanners can help incorporate design details that are otherwise difficult to create on computers. They can generate CAD models from existing parts or partial models. Achieving superior product development quickly with an LPX 3D laser scanner will dramatically lower product development costs and reduce time to market.
