Quark Announces Availability of QuarkXPress 8.02 Updater
Thursday 29. January 2009 - Free update of QuarkXPress 8 simplifies installation process and introduces additional support for five new languages
Quark Inc. today announced the release of the QuarkXPress 8.02 update, available immediately to existing customers for download and as a free 60-day Test Drive. The release improves the installation experience, adds user interface localisation for five additional languages, and builds on the rock-solid performance and reliability that customers are already experiencing with QuarkXPress 8 by addressing the most important issues reported by customers. In addition, this release adds support for the latest updates from Pantone Inc., PANTONE Goe colour libraries.

Success of QuarkXPress 8
QuarkXPress 8, launched last May, delivers superior design power through a new, intuitive interface developed purposefully for the creation of high-end page layout; print, Web, and designer-friendly Flash authoring tools; design-driven typography; and global publishing capabilities. Customers from across the globe are in unanimous agreement that this upgrade has been one of the most significant ever – and one that enhanced their productivity from the day they adopted it.

Additional language support
The QuarkXPress 8.02 update introduces user interface localisation for five new languages: Danish, Norwegian, Czech, Portuguese (European), and Finnish. The new language features have been developed and implemented in close collaboration with key partners and customers in each of the relevant markets.
Up-to-date PANTONE colour library support
Quark continues to offer its customers easy, built-in access to the most up-to-date colour systems by adding support for the latest colours from Pantone (PANTONE Goe Bridge coated).

Simplified installation
QuarkXPress 8.02 introduces silent-install features that allow users to more easily install the software over a network. In addition, the activation process has been streamlined and includes the ability for users to switch from their 60-day Test Drive version to a full version of the software without installing QuarkXPress again.

Existing QuarkXPress 8 users can download a free update to QuarkXPress 8.02 from the Quark Web site
QuarkXPress 8 is available directly from Quark and through Quark Authorised Resellers. An upgrade to QuarkXPress 8 is £279/399 euro (ex VAT) and full product can be purchased for £779/1349 euro(ex VAT).
