Presstek 34DI Digital Offset Press Transforms BCT Nevadas Business

Presstek, Inc., a leading manufacturer and marketer of digital offset printing solutions, today reported that BCT Nevada has upgraded its print manufacturing capabilities to include high quality short run four-color printing with the installation of a Presstek 34DI press. While BCT Nevada had previously added a conventional four-color press to supplement its thermography manufacturing process, the firm was unable to turn work around quickly enough to keep up with growing four-color demand.
“With the growing demand for color business cards and shrinking lead times,” said Craig Wasserman, owner, “we needed to replace our conventional four-color press. Adding the Presstek 34DI, especially with its ability to print on 14-point stocks, has made us the fastest and highest quality business card printer in Nevada. BCT Nevada also looked to new applications enabled by the DI press to offset a decline in its thermography business. Since installing the press, Wasserman reports that more brokers and printers are coming to him because of the fast turnaround, competitive price and exceptional quality he can deliver with the 34DI press. “The press has put us in a whole different marketplace,” he says. “In addition to business cards, we are printing brochures, flyers and postcards. We can efficiently gang postcards and business cards, which we couldnt do before. Thanks to the 34DI, we are now a real print shop!”
