Kodaks Don Allred Recognized for Outstanding Technical Session at European Inkjet Conference
Tuesday 20. January 2009 - Attendees at IMI Europe select Allreds session as the events best
A presentation by Donald R. Allred, Director, Business Development, Inkjet Printing Solutions, Kodaks Graphic Communications Group, is selected as the best presentation at the recent IMI (Information Management Institute) Europe Annual Ink Jet Conference, Nov. 12-14 in Lisbon. Titled “Kodak Inkjet Technology for Industrial ApplicationsEnhancing the Capability with Stream Inkjet Technology,” Allreds presentation covered the benefits of continuous inkjet technology and the innovative applications of KODAK Stream Inkjet Technology.
“Continuous inkjet technology combines fast print speeds with low cost of operation, and is an excellent solution in demanding production environments,” said Allred. “Kodaks new Stream Inkjet Technology delivers offset class printing either in conjunction with offset presses or in a standalone configuration. The opportunity to bring this message to attendees was a pleasure, and Im honored that they found the information to be so valuable during the event.”
Stream Inkjet Technology, previewed earlier this year at drupa, is a continuous inkjet system that enables offset class reliability, productivity, cost of ownership, and quality with the full benefits of digital printing for high volume commercial applications. Offering the benefits of variable data, short run, personalization or versioning on jobs traditionally produced using offset presses, Stream Inkjet Technology supports both commercial coated and uncoated papers for applications such as catalogs, books, newspapers, direct mail, and inserts.
Designed to provide participants with a comprehensive assessment of technology and market development trends that will determine inkjet printings role in the overall printing marketplace, this conference is part of the IMI series that draws more than 2,000 professionals to a variety of events in the United States and Europe each year. The formal sessions and informal networking sessions provide a unique, interactive environment for leading hardware, consumables, components, system integrator and user company representatives to network and develop an improved understanding of the forces that are shaping the evolving digital printing industry. Since the Lisbon event, more than 400 visitors have downloaded the top-voted presentation from the IMI Europe web site
