Goss International will pursue alternatives to 2009 NAA mediaXchange event
Thursday 15. January 2009 - Goss International announced this week that it would maintain an extensive trade show and industry event schedule in 2009 but would not participate in the Newspaper Association of America's newly launched mediaXchange event. The company will instead focus resources on other events and activities to communicate with newspaper printers and publishers.
“We were one of the largest and most consistent participants throughout the history of the ANPA and NEXPO shows,” according to Jochen Meissner, Goss International CEO. “This year, with the new format and focus, we are not certain mediaXchange will be the most effective venue for presenting our press systems and newspaper packaging solutions or our Goss Lifetime Support programs for existing equipment.”
Meissner said Goss International will participate in close to 50 industry shows and events worldwide in 2009 including the PRINT show in Chicago in September. “We view Graph Expo and PRINT as the primary North American shows for our full portfolio – including Ferag products – for commercial, newspaper and combined applications,” Meissner explains. “Production requirements are converging. A large, comprehensive show gives publishers and printers an opportunity to evaluate and discuss a full range of equipment options to meet their specific needs.”
Goss International will also supplement its 2009 industry trade show schedule with its own equipment demonstrations and technology seminars for smaller, targeted groups.
