The French group EBRA launches a new newspaper with Protec as its technologicl partner
Wednesday 14. January 2009 - Called Vosges Matin, it has chosen version 6.0 of MILENIUM Cross Media as its editorial system
To coincide with the New Year, the French group EBRA has launched a new newspaper called Vosges Matin and has chosen Protec as its technological partner. To start up this newspaper, the EBRA group put its faith in version 6.0 of MILENIUM Cross Media, a cutting-edge application that makes possible the creation of a completely convergent newsroom, as well as being receptive to short-term technological changes.
This new newspaper is the result of the merger between La Liberté de LEst, which closes after sixty years of existence, and the edition of La Républicain published for the Les Vosges region. These newspapers had a joint circulation of about 55,000; by contrast, Vosges Matin managed to sell 70,000 copies on its first day. In addition, according to surveys carried out following its market launch, sales of Vosges Matin have increased by 10-20%.
With the solutions provided by version 6.0 of MILENIUM, Vosges Matin produces four editions (Epinal, La Plaine, Remiremont and Saint Die) with a significant costs saving compared to those incurred by its predecessors. It also has an integrated newsroom, allowing simplified workflows for all editions, both with respect to editing and production or advertising, thus cutting out many errors and problems. This helps to maintain a high level of quality, without doubt the differentiating factor in the media sector at present.
