Ricoh Reform PDC Simplifies the Complexities of Document Management
Wednesday 07. January 2009 - Streamline Document Printing, Distribution and Capture with New, Exclusive Ricoh Solution
Ricoh Americas Corporation, the leading provider of digital office equipment, announced today the availability of Ricoh(R) Reform(R) PDC. Developed by FabSoft exclusively for the Ricoh platform, this print, distribution and capture solution automates mission critical workflow for organizations and offers customizable features, which enable it to fit the processing needs of multiple industries.
Improving document management can be an overwhelming and time consuming task, but Reform PDC allows businesses to easily improve existing workflows as it produces and distributes business forms straight from any host system, application or Ricoh multifunctional product (MFP). Once the system captures print stream data, it places the information into the designated business processing form and automatically distributes it to the user’s selected print, email, fax and archive systems. If operating via a Ricoh MFP with the optional Reform Modular Object Scanning Technology (MOST) plug-in, users are able to manage multiple forms on demand and have better control of distribution. The automation capabilities of Reform PDC give users time to focus on core competencies and reduce human errors to enhance workflow management at a lower operational cost.
For many industries, such as construction, healthcare, legal, insurance and manufacturing, tracking and tracing critical documents ranging from permits and contracts to claim reports and admission forms is vital. This tedious, yet necessary process is easily programmed with Reform PDC’s optional TagDoc feature, which adds bar codes to documents to enable workflow monitoring and enhanced distribution methods. Additionally, the optional Document Authority Control (DAC) capabilities offer the power to supervise and regulate the path of sensitive documents that must be signed by certain parties before processing them. Together, these features add great value to an organization by streamlining document workflow and reducing the risks associated with lagging processing systems.
“Effectively managing document workflow can be a significant challenge for organizations due to the unique requirements of each business process,” said Hede Nonaka, executive vice president, Ricoh Americas Corporation. “Ricoh’s Reform PDC solution facilitates workflow by simplifying business processes that enable effective document creation and distribution control and deliver numerous benefits from saving valuable time to reducing operating costs and increasing information security.”
