Zebra Technologies Appoints Bill Walsh as General Manager, Enterprise Solutions Division
Tuesday 06. January 2009 - Zebra Technologies Corporation (NASDAQ:ZBRA) today announced that Bill Walsh has been appointed general manager of the Enterprise Solutions Division. He will start today and report to Anders Gustafsson, Zebra's CEO.

Based in Oakland, Calif., the Enterprise Solutions Division is part of Zebra Technologies that offers world-class solutions to optimize the flow of goods and manage assets across the global supply chain. Whether tracking containers through a port, optimizing parts for manufacturing or managing ground support equipment at an airport; the automated solutions from the combination of Navis-proveo-WhereNet-Multispectral Solutions provide complete visibility and greater velocity to deliver measurable business improvement.
Walsh brings to the Enterprise Solutions Division more than 20 years of executive leadership driving growth for start-up and market-leading enterprise software companies. During an eight-year tenure at PeopleSoft, he was promoted to president of PeopleSoft International, where he held P&L responsibility for more than 25 countries, 1,200 employees, and approximately $280 million in revenue. Walsh also launched PeopleSoft?s Professional Services Group and in a variety of senior management roles, he helped maintain year-over-year revenue growth rates exceeding 30 percent.
Following PeopleSoft, Walsh moved to Octane, later acquired by E.piphany, where he served as president and chief operating officer responsible for establishing and expanding international operations of their customer relationship management solutions.
Walsh garnered additional leadership experience as CEO of Velosant, a best-of-breed financial supply chain solutions provider, where he grew annual revenues by 15 percent; and at Open Harbor, a global trade management specialist, where he restructured the business, improved efficiency and guided the company to a successful acquisition. Walsh has also been instrumental in leading the integration of several acquired companies over his career, strengthening organizations by successfully guiding the integration of technologies, personnel and resources.
Walsh earned an MBA from Loyola University of Chicago and a bachelor?s degree in industrial/organizational psychology from DePaul University.
