PIXART.IT ANNOUNCES UK LAUNCH OF WEB2PRINT-BASED DIGITAL PRINT SERVICE
Tuesday 06. January 2009 - Italian online digital print specialist, pixart.it, is officially launching its web2print-based on demand digital printing service to the UK market. The service, which will initially target the UK graphic arts and digital imaging sectors, aims to offer commercial printers an extensive portfolio of digital print products to complement their current range of in-house services.
Says Matteo Rigamonti, managing director, pixart.it: “We believe pixart.it can offer UK printers a strong digital printing service to support their current printing operation. Traditional printers will be able to take a step into digital printing by using pixart.it as an outsource partner for some of the more specialised digital print work. As we offer high-volume cut sheet services for direct mail, transpromo and corporate documents; large and grand format printing for banners and posters, right through to POS cut-outs and labels, UK printers can use us to offer their customers a ‘one stop shop’ approach to printing and help gain greater commercial traction with these customers in the process.”
Mr Rigamonti says pixart.it also guarantees delivery to the UK within 48 hours of an order being placed via its web2print system. Continues Mr Rigamonti: “This quick turnaround combined with the very competitive pricing of our printing services means UK printers can meet both the turnaround demands of their clients and maintain a good profit on these high margin applications. Most importantly, the strength of our technology means this can all be achieved without any compromise in print quality. We are extremely confident that the work that leaves pixart.it is consistently of the highest quality.”
Based in Marghera, just outside Venice, and serving over 50,000 customers across Europe, pixart.it has built up an extrodinary digital print engine room, including what is now Europe’s single largest commercial installation of HP Indigo 7000s – six – all of which were ordered at Drupa 2008. These are supported by a bank of 15 Roland DG wide format printers, a Xerox iGen3, two Durst Rho flat bed printers as well as machines from Mimaki, Zünd, KIP and Duplo. The company handles 6,000 quotations per day with 1,200 deliveries despatched daily, for delivery within 24 and 48 hours throughout Europe.
In line with the company’s official launch in the UK, pixart.it has unveiled the latest version of its website, www.pixart.it new website is now even simpler, customer-friendly and more interactive and incorporates a new series of functional sections which allow the customer to manage their own orders stage by stage and monitor the workflow by displaying the production status of the project at any given moment. In addition, the new pixart.it site has been designed to facilitate the selection procedure for even the most complex products, and enable clients to display, directly on the screen of their own PC, a preview of the finished product.
Concludes Mr Rigamonti: “Our strategy is simple: to employ the most effective technology available on the market to deliver the best quality product at a very competitive price. We are very excited about this official launch into the UK market. The UK has long been one of the prime movers in Europe when it comes to the uptake of new printing technologies and we hope that UK commercial printers will now see the benefits of working with a digital print specialist that has also embraced the latest technology and can provide services to help them offer a greater range of products to their customers.”
