Edipresse Eastern Europe continues to strengthen its organization
Tuesday 30. December 2008 - Edipresse has taken important steps in reinforcing its Eastern European management team with high level appointments: nomination of Izabela Bochenek as Deputy CEO of Edipresse Eastern Europe (EEE) and Andreas Tilk as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Edipresse Konliga in Russia.
At the Eastern European regional level, Edipresse created in 2007 a management and organizational structure supervising operations in Russia, Ukraine and Poland – under the authority of Zbigniew Napierala, Chief Executive Officer. He will be supported by Izabela Bochenek, who will assume the position of Deputy CEO of Edipresse Eastern Europe (EEE). In a first stage, Izabela Bochenek will concentrate her efforts on the development of the Groups activities in Ukraine and Poland.
Andreas Tilk will be the representative of the Edipresse Group in Russia through the companys subsidiary Edipresse Konliga. His main responsibility will be to lead the transition following the sale of the remaining shares held by the companys founders, Alexander and Raisa Kolosov (currently Executive President and Vice President respectively), foreseen at the latest end of 2009. After this transaction is completed, Edipresse will hold 100% of the capital of Edipresse Konliga.
Maxim Zimin, Managing Director of Edipresse Konliga will continue to assume his current tasks and operational responsibilities, ensuring continuity at top management level and making sure that the company maintains its important position on the Russian market.

Edipresse Konliga is Edipresse Groups subsidiary in Russia. It was created in 1993 and is one of the largest magazine publishers in Russia with over forty titles and an annual print-run of over 22 million copies. Edipresse Konliga commands a strong market position in several consumer magazine segments including women’s advisory, parenting, home and design, knitting and needlecraft and arts. Some of its best known magazines are “Samaya” (for active young women), “Viva!” (people and celebrity), “Liubimaya Dacha” (a country home & design guide), “Mama, eto Ya!” (parenting) and “Sabrina” (a popular knitting magazine).
Edipresse Eastern Europe (EEE) was created in 2007 in order to manage the Groups publishing activities, directing business development and optimizing synergies in Central and Eastern Europe, a region of strategic importance for the Edipresse Group. The EEE entity currently comprises Edipresse Polska, Edipresse Ukraine and Edipresse Konliga (Russia).

Izabela Bochenek (36 years old) has most recently been responsible for new projects at Edipresse Polska where amongst other things she led the development and launch of a new people title, “Party”, which is widely seen as one of the greatest publishing successes in Eastern Europe, with an average fortnightly circulation reaching close to half a million copies. Prior to this assignment, she held the post of Managing Director for Edipresse Polska between 2004 and 2006 and since 2003 she has been a member of the Management Board of Edipresse Polska.
Andreas Tilk (48 years old) has almost 20 years of experience in magazine publishing. After obtaining university degrees in political science and business administration, Andreas Tilk started his career with Gruner + Jahr (G+J) working directly under the renowned Publisher Axel Ganz. He then went on to manage the companys operations in Poland, followed by a senior executive position for G+Js Eastern European activities. In 2001, Andreas Tilk joined Axel Springer where he was President for Eastern and Southern Europe supervising the companys affiliates in Russia, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Romania and Spain.
