Schwäbische Zeitung signs a contract for a new editorial system
Friday 26. December 2008 - The media house Schwäbischer Verlag selects CCI NewsGate as their platform to cross-media communication
The media house Schwäbischer Verlag in Leutkirch/Germany has decided to implement CCI NewsGate in order to improve their journalistic workflow and to enable a cross-media communication. CCI NewsGate will be implemented for 300 editorial seats. The newsroom of Schwäbische Zeitung will be producing its 22 local editions with a combined daily circulation of approximately 190,000 copies.
Prior to the selection of a new editorial system, a thorough analysis of the editorial workflow was made. Following a test phase, during which the systems of several suppliers were tested on a practical level for two weeks, the management of the publishing house chose the software from the company CCI.
“CCI NewsGate enables us to manage editorial content across newsrooms and publish dynamically through different channels, online or offline, electronically or in print. With this system we will be able to meet the journalistic challenges of the changing media landscape,” Dr. Udo Kolb, managing director of the publishing house, states as reason for their choice.
“With CCI NewsGate we have developed a product that supports the editorial workflow of today and tomorrow. The agreement with Schwäbische Zeitung shows us that it meets the demands of not only the national and International titles, but also of the regional dailies,” CCIs CEO Dan Korsgaard explains.
