HP to Present Consolidated Product Portfolio at Graphispag Digital
Tuesday 23. December 2008 - HP today announced it will show a consolidated range of products on its stand at Graphispag Digital - hall 2 Stand B268 11 - 14 February, Gran Via Exhibition Centre, Barcelona.
The solutions enable graphic arts customers to build their competitive advantage and successfully pursue profitable growth opportunities. HP now offers print service providers the industry’s largest all-digital colour graphic arts portfolio, supporting HP’s Print 2.0 strategy to drive growth of digital pages and lower costs of printing for high-volume commercial markets.
Customers are already capitalizing on the value provided by new digital solutions such as HP Indigo digital presses and HP’s new Sign and Display portfolio. The HP Designjet L65500 Printer – the first of a new category of large-format signage printers with HP Latex Inks that reduce the impact of printing on the environment and offer broad outdoor and indoor application versatility, while delivering quality and durability at high print speeds.(1)
Fourteen new large-format media – including five recyclable(2) substrates that are compatible with HP Latex Printing and low solvent Technologies. Specially treated HP media, such as HP Tyvek Banner and HP High Density Polyethylene Reinforced Banner, provide image quality and durability when printing with both HP Latex Inks and HP low-solvent inks.
The HP Scitex FB950 Printer – providing consistent high-quality POP/POS, tradeshow and event signage on virtually any rigid(3) or flexible media.(4)

A small drop with a big impact
The HP Designjet L65500 Printer offers PSPs a versatile print system that can produce a broad range of applications on a wide range of materials, including most low-cost, uncoated, solvent compatible media – from point-of-purchase displays, transit signage, wall murals and exhibition graphics to vehicle graphics and fleet marking, and a variety of exterior and interior event signage.
High-quality prints and high productivity
The HP Scitex FB950 Printer is a robust flatbed UV printer that delivers high-quality prints. It has been designed to increase productivity and profitability with efficient media loading and has the ability to print multiple sheets at the same time.
The printer’s six HP Scitex FB250 color inks and printheads with variable-sized drops combine to produce great image detail-up to 1200 x 600 optimised dpi-and smooth color transitions across a wide variety of media. Advanced features, such as an onboard camera, spectrophotometer, embedded software and a solid media feed system, ensure consistent results and worry-free operation.
Reduced operating costs and high productivity
Improvements on the HP Indigo press 5500 include near-zero downtime on spot colour ink replacement for optional 5th, 6th and 7th colour stations, an expanded range of supported media and resolution enhancement technology for higher-resolution imaging of up to 1,200 dpi. Designed for the production of marketing collateral, direct mail, photo specialty products, books and manuals – including higher-volume production in centrally controlled, multiple-press environments – the HP Indigo press 5500 delivers the offset look and feel afforded by HP Indigo technology and liquid HP ElectroInk.
HP SmartStream Director, Powered by Press-sense
Part of the HP SmartStream portfolio of workflow solutions designed to meet the needs of specific applications, HP SmartStream Director, Powered by Press-sense, delivers small to large print service providers an integrated and open end-to-end workflow solution based on industry standards (JDF) and the Press-sense iWay version 5.0 platform. The product comes with a suite of tools that enable jobs to be efficiently created and managed from online submission through print to fulfillment. High performance Variable Data Printing is offered by the built-in HP SmartStream Designer (formerly Yours Truly Designer) with all its new high-end image processing and performance capabilities.
Driving large format creativity
The HP Designjet Z3200 Photo Printer is ideal for graphic designers, photo and fine art print service providers, commercial printers and photographers. The HP Designjet Z3200 delivers gallery-quality, black-and-white and colour photographs, art enlargements, large-format designs and high-accuracy proofs that stand out and survive the test of time with 12 HP Vivera pigment inks and a new HP 73 Chromatic Red.
The HP Designjet Z6100 Printer series with HP Vivera pigment inks delivers accurate colour and high impact prints at maximum print speeds. The HP Designjet Z6100 features HP DreamColor Technologies, a certified system of colour technologies, such as an embedded spectrophotometer, and sciences which make it easy to produce accurate, predictable and consistent colour across a series of digital colour devices.
