Pageflex Hosts Second User Conference
Wednesday 03. December 2008 - Over 170 Attendees from Around the World Gather for Two-Day Event
Pageflex, a division of Bitstream Inc. (NASDAQ: BITS, www.bitstream.com) and a leading developer of enterprise variable publishing and web-to-print solutions, announced today the conclusion of the Second Annual Pageflex User Conference, held in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The conference brought together over 170 attendees from around the world for a two-day educational program that offered sessions on technical topics, marketing and business development ideas, and publishing industry trends.
Leading off the conference was a keynote presentation, by Frank Romano, Professor Emeritus, School of Print Media, Rochester Institute of Technology. Mr. Romanos presentation, titled “Dear Frank J: what can we learn from the history of personalized marketing?” guided Pageflex users through the changes in business communication over the years, with special emphasis on the changes that technology has meant to printers and marketing professionals.
In addition to the general session, the conference agenda also included two technical tracks and a business development track. Sessions in the technical track were designed to help users maximize their use of Pageflex technology, and included presentations on best practices, APIs, document actions, and extensions. Also included in the technical track were sessions on how to sell and manage projects created with Pageflex Campaign Manager.
The business development track offered customers sessions on how to effectively market and sell the services they create with Pageflex technology. This track included presentations on how to best meet clients needs, an interactive panel discussion on selling, and a presentation on how to market in a difficult economy.
“We were excited to see the size of our Pageflex user conference more than double despite a challenging economy,” said Anna Chagnon, President and CEO. “Our record number of attendees came to the meeting out of their desire to meet and exchange ideas with other Pageflex users and to attend the wide range of educational sessions offered at the conference. This combination gives users the information they need to utilize the full potential of Pageflex technology to expand their business offerings. In turn, we get valuable feedback and suggestions as to how we can make our solutions work even better for users. It is a winning combination, and we continue to be grateful for such a strong and dedicated user base.”
