ineo+ 6501: Powerful professional digital print solution
Tuesday 02. December 2008 - Irrespective of whether a big corporation, digital print shops or offset printers are concerned, high print volumes and production of the widest possible range of media with widely varying finishing requirements are the order of the day.
What is needed in such cases is a highly reliable, economic, efficient and versatile digital print system – a system like DEVELOP’s new ineo+ 6501. This successor to the ineo+ 6500 is designed to print up to 300,000 pages per month, process paper to 300g/m2, in anything from postcard format to SRA3, and offers finishing options that will produce brochures of up to 200 pages or perfect-bound books – all in near offset-print quality.
Added value and high quality on a small and large scale
Although the ineo+ 6501 has a particularly high print capacity, it’s just as effective at printing small runs (printing-on-demand). This is helped by the short run-times and the – long-term – low operating costs, irrespective of whether monthly production is 30,000 or 300,000 pages, or of the rigorousness of other requirements. The polymer toner, accurate colour reproduction and simple colour management, as well as the curling and smoothing unit, produce superb quality, time after time. The system is capable of winning over even die-hard offset fans.
Versatility in use of media
The ineo+ 6501 also demonstrates its versatility when it comes to processing: the spectrum ranges from postcard format to SRA3 and bigger. There’s a choice of 60 individual formats, and with the optional heating unit for the cassettes – which dries the paper before printing and works at lower set temperatures – it’s even possible to process 300g/m2 paper.
Diverse finishes
The ineo+ 6501 also offers widely varying options where finishing is concerned. It’s possible to produce brochures of up to 200 pages (including trimming), perfect-bound books, or even what is known as GBC punching (for spiral binding). If your company already possesses finishing systems, such as cutting or folding machines, the large-volume batch tray is the perfect solution, providing space for up to 5,000 sheets on an integrated trolley.
High performance colour management
The ineo+ 6501 also meets the most demanding requirements with the optional Fiery high performance controller. Amongst other things it allows precise, page-for-page, true-to-register duplex printing (front and backside), as well as accurate reproduction of customer-specific decorative inks (SpotOn). The system’s other merits include paper type simulation and professional colour management (ColorWise). An optional Creo controller is also available.
And although the system represents state-of-the-art technology, it is still easy and intuitive to use. This is assured by the intuitive user interface, the full-colour control panel, and direct access to numerous functions.
Compete on service
Patrick Klaus, Product Manager at DEVELOP, lists the system’s other advantages: “The ineo+ 6501 is also the perfect solution when print providers want to improve their competitive position in the field of digital printing, by including personalised mailings, flyers and brochures in their range, for example. And to keep everything running smoothly, we offer ineo Remote Care, a round-the-clock maintenance service. No matter what or how immediate a customer’s requirements, they are bound to appreciate the ineo+ 6501’s results!”
