Blow-moulding machine in modularised construction

Krones blow-moulding machine in modularised construction

Tuesday 02. December 2008 - Krones AG, Neutraubling, Germany, the world’s market leader for beverage filling and packaging technology, at the Pack Expo in Chicago exhibited a Contiform stretch blow-moulding machine, featuring a newly developed oven in modularised construction, whose length can be individually matched to the specific conditions of the client’s own line, resulting in not inconsiderable cost savings and footprint downsizing.

The new heating module, optimally matched to the client’s own particular needs, provides energy savings in the double-figure range compared to systems from competitors and previous generations. The new oven is ergonomically enhanced, more eco-compatible, operator-friendlier, quieter, and is thus, thanks to its modularised construction and its new process technology, ideal for use with lightweight preforms. This oven even provides clients with an option for handling returnable PET containers.

The technology leader Krones offers numerous variants of its stretch blow-moulder/filler BLOCs optimally matched to the customer’s individual requirements. The spectrum of outputs ranges from 8,000 to 72,000 containers an hour in the high-speed category.
