New Vice President and General Manager Named at Ossid
Wednesday 29. October 2008 - Ossid, a division of Pro Mach and a leading provider of tray packaging, horizontal form-fill-seal, and weighing equipment, recently named a new vice president and general manager and a vice president of sales.
Ernie Newell, a 25-year company veteran who was most recently technical services manager, was appointed vice president and general manager. Newell has a three pronged strategy for promoting growth.
“We will provide product innovations that improve throughput, lower downtime, and capture vital data for management information systems,” Newell said. “We will ensure that our customers are well supported by trained and knowledgeable technicians, and our technical sales team will provide consultative services helping customers successfully plan for upcoming initiatives.”

He returns to Ossid after a stint at MBA Poultry, Waverly, Nebraska, where he gained valuable insights and experience on the customer side of the business. Before going to MBA, Angel held a number of service and sales positions within Ossid from 1993 to 2007. One of his first responsibilities will be to establish a regional sales organization that brings technical sales representatives closer to customers.
In other personnel news, Brian Guillime joins the firm as its Midwest sales representative in the new regional sales organization. He was most recently with MBA Poultry. Wayne Jones is Ossid’s new aftermarket parts sales representative. Jones comes to Ossid from Ross Industries.
