BÖWE BELL + HOWELL Announces New JETVision Print Inspection System
Wednesday 29. October 2008 - Provides Full-Color, 100 Percent Quality Control at Full Production Speed
BÖWE BELL + HOWELL (BBH), a leading provider of high-performance document management solutions and services, today introduced a new solution for ensuring the quality and integrity of print output from todays fastest digital printers.
Performing instant analysis for all types of inkjet and laser print engines, the new JETVision? Print Inspection system provides extraordinary processing power that captures amazing detail for one- or two-up, simplex or duplex, grayscale or color print, at full production speed.
The JETVision system uses a compact and reliable web transport that can be easily positioned between a print engine and winder or between an unwinder and finishing device. With a small, 7″ wide footprint, the system can be installed in most facilities without moving existing equipment.
“In todays financial climate, printing and mailing companies need to identify and correct print quality issues immediately to avoid incurring additional production costs,” said Mike Maselli, executive director of BBH Software Business Solutions. “The latest JETVision innovation performs a wide range of quality checks, including ANSI barcode grading, postal validation, print alignment and color verification. And being able to integrate into an existing production facility, without having to move and separate equipment, means that more companies with space constraints can benefit from a quality management system.”
The JETVision product line has been awarded many patents pertaining to controlling and monitoring items, and the latest module for print inspection builds upon the same industry-leading capabilities that have been used to monitor billions of documents in companies of all sizes and all industries. Key features of the new print inspection module include:
–
