Ricoh Showcases Advanced Print Production Products and Solutions at GRAPH EXPO 2008
Tuesday 28. October 2008 - The Production Printing Business Group (PPBG) of Ricoh Americas Corporation is adding to the excitement of GRAPH EXPO by demonstrating a wide variety of hardware and software solutions designed to advance customers' businesses in the high-volume print production industry. The show runs from October 26-29 at the McCormick Place South in Chicago (booth #1775).
The Ricoh products on display at GRAPH EXPO are built to keep going and going, page after page, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity. All of the products within Ricoh’s PPBG are designed to help in-plant, data center and graphic arts customers take their businesses to the next level. Some of the highlights attendees at GRAPH EXPO will see in the PPBG booth include:
The RICOH Pro C900
The RICOH Pro C900 is designed for advanced production printing and provides users with increased productivity, high quality, and flexible in-line finishing options at an affordable price. The device prints color pages at 90 pages per minute (ppm), even when printing on heavy stock paper and creates high-quality image output. Users can load paper and toner without the need to interrupt jobs in process, streamlining the workflow process by eliminating disruptions. Prior to launch, Ricoh placed the RICOH Pro C900 into a commercial printer to test the capabilities and performance of the system. Premium Color, a leading marketing services company in the NY metro area, has been using the system as an alternative to offset printing and will have a presence at Ricoh’s booth at this year’s GRAPH EXPO.
RICOH Pro 1356EX
This workhorse, aided by its large capacity trays and virtually limitless paper supply, meets the rigid demands of the production environment by producing black & white output at speeds up to 135 pages per minute (ppm). By combining one of the fastest imaging speeds in the industry with very high image quality, the RICOH Pro 1356EX expands the capabilities in the production environment. Users can program copy or scan jobs quickly and easily with the large, easy-to-read graphics on the touch panel display.
Excellent finishing capabilities are among the highlights of the RICOH Pro 1356EX. After documents are produced, the SR5000 Standard Finisher allows users to staple up to 100 sheets in multiple positions with a 3,000-sheet finisher. The GB5000 Perfect Binder makes it easy to produce books up to 200 sheets (400 in duplex mode) and includes one- or three-edge knife trimming for a clean, attractive finish.
NEXPRESS S2500
The KODAK NEXPRESS S2500 allows users to energize their businesses today and easily expand based on the needs of tomorrow by producing market-edge image quality across all jobs. The high-capacity paper input and output permit longer uninterrupted printing. Extra feeders or delivery modules can be added for even greater paper capacity, and inline finishing modules to complete jobs in fewer steps. Offset press-like paper handling means a variety of sizes, weights, thicknesses and surfaces are printed consistently and reliably. Adding the NexPress Intelligent Glossing solution enables additional printing opportunities for image-rich applications, including book covers, digital photo prints, coffee-table books, greeting cards, and brochures. It features Kodak NexPress clear dry ink and the Kodak NexPress Glossing Unit, which delivers enhanced image quality and a laminate-like gloss for higher marketing impact.
In addition, Ricoh’s PPBG will be highlighting its work with several solution partners. Today’s customers are demanding more advanced solutions. To address this, Ricoh has been working on advanced web-to-print and variable data printing solutions compatible with products such as the RICOH Pro C900 with the following partners:
