Imprimerie du Centre installs Goss M-600 press for enhanced productivity

Thursday 23. October 2008 - Imprimerie du Centre based in Bondues les Francs, close to Lille in Northern France, has installed a new Goss M-600 web press. The new press has enhanced production capacity for the French printer and has reduced its paper waste.

Nicolas Quivron, owner at Imprimerie du Centre, comments, “Today’s consumers want shorter run lengths but in a greater number of versions and are consistently wanting to refine and enhance their print. Quality and customer service is fundamental to our business, and investment in the latest Goss M-600 technology gives us the most flexibility in order to satisfy our customers’ demands. Our new press offers us higher levels of print quality with increased speeds and the ability to print shorter runs more cost-effectively.”

The Goss M-600 press series, designed for a wide range of commercial and publication applications, has earned a worldwide reputation for proven print quality and reliability. The press at Imprimerie du Centre will be configured as four Goss M-600 units with one web, a JF-45 folder, Contiweb SH-40 splicer and an Ecocool dryer. It will also be equipped with Goss Autoplate fully automatic plate changing technology for faster makereadies and reduced waste.

Citing the proximity of the Goss International facility at Montataire as a key consideration in the purchase, Nicolas Quivron continues, “The timing was also paramount to this project. With the environment continuing to be a key trend in the industry we needed to commit to consuming less paper and energy for this latest investment, and the M-600 press does just this. Developed over the last 12 years, the M-600 press has continued to evolve and has now reached a level of performance that matches our exacting demands.”
