Elpical strengthens its commitment to high quality at Ifra Expo 2008
Wednesday 22. October 2008 - Updated version of Claro Premedia Server allows full automation with human eye quality check
In its continuous effort to achieve the best quality in image enhancement and image management solutions, Elpical releases the updated Claro Premedia Server, for full automatic processing of images that still allows a human quality check, at Ifra Expo 2008 in Amsterdam.
Image workflow automation without compromises
In 2007 Elpical introduced Claro Single, specifically built to integrate into automation products like Enfocus Switch, its image analysis adding dynamic quality improvement capabilities to a workflow that otherwise could only be performed manually by an operator. Now, Elpical extends its partnership with Enfocus as the updated Claro Premedia Server allows integration with Enfocus Switch, providing advanced production automation and giving Switch users access to Claro Inspector. Claro Inspector is a unique client application installed on the operators desktop. Claro Premedia automatically routes those images that require operator intervention to the workstation for side-by-side comparison of the original and the processed image in Photoshop. This allows the operator to choose which image to use and even tweak it if needed, without having to search, fetch and replace images, thus avoiding human errors. Claro Premedia with the Claro Inspector offers all the advantages of automatic image optimization without losing “the eye” of the operator.
Further quality enhancement
This new version of Claro Premedia also features further quality improvements. The already advanced image analysis and automatic correction now provides better color balance algorithms and improved black and white point analyses. Optionally, images can be automatically rotated based on EXIF information.
“We are constantly working to improve not only the image quality but also the way to achieve this quality,” says John de Jong, Managing Director of Elpical. “By integrating Claro Premedia Server, Switch users can benefit from a fully automated production workflow with all the processing power a server-based application offers, while at the same time allowing that personal touch for images that need special attention.”
You will find Elpical at the Crossroads booth 10635 at Ifra Expo 2008 in Amsterdam on October 27-30, 2008.
