Key features of the HP Scitex TJ8550 Printer include excellent quality output at speeds of up to 480 m2/hr (5,166 ft2/hr) with sharp small text (down to eight-point) on a wide choice of supported substrates, with an achievable two years of ink outdoor durability.(2)
The new HP Scitex TJ Series Double Sided upgrade is a dedicated option available for the HP Scitex TJ8550 Printer, providing even greater differentiation and versatility in service offerings with the added capability to produce accurate, high-quality, two-sided prints, maximizing device utilization while also optimizing total cost of ownership. Additionally, HP is offering field upgradability for existing HP Scitex TJ8500 Printer owners. The upgrade kit includes hardware, software, on-site installation and training.

Supports an apparent resolution of up to 600 dpi to deliver high-quality output for a wide variety of large-format applications
Achieves superb quality, six-color printing at sharp eight-point text with HP Scitex TJ200 Ink, a new generation of UV-curable ink developed especially for the HP Scitex TJ8550 and delivering improved quality and reliability while reducing operational costs
Ideal for high-volume outdoor applications, such as billboards and other outdoor signage, as well as high quality, high-volume point-of-purchase (POP) displays and other indoor applications
Advanced, user-friendly front-end offers a wide range of features and options, including tiling to columns or rows, crop files, add image option, queue and archive, and a “load file while printing” feature
Includes Onyx I-Plus for HP Scitex, providing enhanced productivity and quality with HP Scitex screen splits and workflow by OEM Dot Pattern (exclusive to I-Plus for the HP Scitex TJ8550 Printer), the option to work in parallel on two separate files simultaneously and enhanced color management
Prints on almost any sheet or roll-fed media, including uncoated or untreated materials, such as paper, self-adhesive vinyl, banner, canvas and paper-back flag. The HP Scitex TJ8550 Printer also prints on uncoated synthetic media, such as Yupo and Tyvek
Provides output size up to 65 x 145 in (165 x 370 cm) and a maximum print size of 61 x 144 in (156 x 366 cm) or up to 63 x 145 in (162 x 370 cm) with degradation on the edges
