INDIA LABEL SHOW GEARS UP WITH STRONG EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM
Tuesday 07. October 2008 - The India Label Show, the largest event for the label, product decoration and converting industry in India, has this week announced the conference program. Taking place between 3 and 6 December at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi, the India Label Show comprises a major exhibition and an educational conference taking place alongside.
Running on the first three days of the show, the conference program has a comprehensive range of subjects with a strong focus on the opportunities for the growth and development of the Indian label sector. Speakers will analyse the current challenges the Indian label converters face, and what they need to do to maintain profitability of their businesses and ensure steady future growth. There will be presentations from international and national label buyers who will share their views and present case studies on the converter requirements. The latest anti-counterfeiting strategies will be discussed and presented in a case study based on a multinational company and its tactics of protecting a brand in the global market. Brand equity will be examined as the audience will assess what strategies a label business should take in order to identify their market, define the service and price structure in order to maintain a viable business and achieve profitability.
On the technological side, the conference has designated a session to digital printing technology and its current advancement; it will look at the markets and applications for digital technology and its integration with conventional printing.
The conference has gathered panels of world-leading experts in the label industry.
The sessions will be chaired by Mike Fairley whose expertise in the label and packaging industries extends over 30 years. Andy Thomas, Group Managing Editor of Labels & Labeling, will also chair a number of sessions together with Mike Fairley.
“I have followed the growth of the Indian label industry for many years and have been impressed with its evolution, innovation and growing expertise,” – said label guru Mike Fairley. “Forecast retail, consumer and industrial growth in India over the next decade will put ever more demands on this fast-changing industry, leading it to develop world class label manufacturing capabilities that will meet the demands of global brand owners and international retail groups. The conference program at the India Label Show has therefore been designed to support and encourage Indian label converters in their understanding of this new and ever-changing label world and to guide them in meeting the ongoing challenges and demands of, increasingly global, customers. Im sure they will find the conference sessions well worth attending.”
