Citrix Systems Positioned in the Leaders Quadrant for 2008 Enterprise Single Sign-On Magic Quadrant

Thursday 25. September 2008 - Evaluation Based on Completeness of Vision and Ability to Execute

Citrix Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: CTXS), the global leader in application delivery infrastructure, today announced Citrix has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the leaders quadrant in the Gartner 2008 Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Single Sign-On1. Gartner defines leaders in the ESSO market as those that “show a consistent capability to gain new customers in broad industries and geographies; and, at the higher end of the quadrant, have very good to excellent customer references, products that easily integrate with target systems; and those who demonstrate a commitment to rapidly providing the product updates that their customers want.” Gartner clients can obtain the report at www.gartner.com.

“We consider our positioning in the leader quadrant by Gartner affirmation of Citrix’s goal to provide organizations with a strong password management capability as part of Citrix Delivery Center,” said Sumit Dhawan, vice president of product marketing, Application Virtualization Group, Citrix Systems. “As one of the key features of our flagship Citrix XenApp product line, Password Manager provides improved application security without sacrificing performance or user experience. Password Manager is an excellent example of how we build the best-of-breed technologies and integrate them into XenApp to offer our customers a complete application delivery solution.”

Gartner evaluated 12 Enterprise Single Sign-On vendors serving enterprise customers based on completeness of vision and ability to execute. The ability to execute criteria included factors such as the functionality of vendor’s products, overall viability, sales execution, market responsiveness customer experience and operations. The completeness of vision criteria included the vendor’s market understanding, marketing strategy, sales strategy, offering strategy, business model, vertical/industry strategy, innovation, and geographic strategy.

Citrix Password Manager increases application security for all applications by allowing IT managers to centralize password management for greater control, while improving users experience with fast, automated logons to all applications. Password Manager also enables end users to reset their Windows password or unlock their account anywhere using any device.

Citrix XenApp, a member of the Citrix Delivery Center product family, is the industry’s de facto standard for delivering Windows-based applications with the best performance, security and cost savings. XenApp is the most complete application virtualization system available with the ability to virtualize applications on both the client side and server side, delivering them on demand based on the user, the application or the location (online or offline). By centralizing applications and data in secure data centers, IT can reduce the costs of management and support, increase data security and facilitate business continuity. XenApp Platinum edition adds critical capabilities for application performance monitoring, secure remote access, WAN optimization and single-sign-on application security.
