First WIFAG Machine in Slovakia
Monday 22. September 2008 - Petit Press a.s. in Bratislava, one of the leading newspaper publishers in Slovakia, made a decision in August of this year to purchase a WIFAG OF 375 S. Petit Press a.s. publishes the daily SME with three local editions as well as ÚJ SZÓ, a newspaper in Hungarian with two editions, and more than 20 other regional weekly papers.
In addition to its own printed products, Petit Press a.s. provides services to other publishers, printing weekly papers and brochures for them.
This delivery by WIFAG will be the centerpiece of an expansion at the printing center in Petralka to the south of Bratislava. The configuration of the doublewide, one-page-around, blanket-to-blanket WIFAG OF 375 S consists of three eight-high towers, three M-type autopasters and a jaw folder in a ratio of 2:5:5. The machine has controls for cutoff and color registers and an inverted pyramid structure with stapler for individual design of the book structure. Over 80000 copies of a tabloid up to 48 pages in length, all four-color, can be produced per hour.
The machine will be delivered in August 2009, with production scheduled to begin in December 2009. With this sale, WIFAG has gained a foothold in the Slovakian market and consolidated its already strong position in the Eastern European market.
