Aschendorff Media chooses EidosMedia
Monday 22. September 2008 - The German regional publisher has adopted EidosMedias cross-media editorial platform for its print and online media operations.
Aschendorff, a media company headquartered in Münster in the North Rhine-Westfalia region has announced that it will move production of its large regional newspaper Westfälische Nachrichten to the Méthode cross-media editorial solution from EidosMedia.
“Our objective is to have closer and stronger cooperation between our online and print media”, said Dr. Norbert Tiemann, chief editor of Westfälische Nachrichten, explaining the reasons behind the choice of Méthode.”We need a media-neutral solution allowing us to create news products for multiple channels at the same time.”
Méthode will also facilitate the complex operation of creating 20 local editions of Westfälische Nachrichten as all editorial teams will have direct access to the production plans. “This will significantly reduce the complexity of creating content and advertising variants”, said Dr. Tiemann. About 130 editors in the central and regional offices will be using Méthode in the first phase of implementation.
“We are delighted that Aschendorff has chosen an EidosMedia solution”, said Holger Hofmann, general manager of EidosMedia Germany. “We are certain that Méthode will make an important contribution to realising the organisations business goals.”
