SCREEN EXPANDS FLEXO CTP RANGE WITH NEW PLATERITE FX1524 PLATESETTER

Underlining its position as the world’s leading supplier of CTP output devices, Screen announces the PlateRite FX1524 platesetter, a 42″ x 60″ (1076mm x 1524mm) recorder for the output of flexo and letterpress digital plates, or thermal ablation film. The PlateRite FX1524 has been developed to support a wide range of flexo applications including labels, flexible packaging, corrugated, carton and security printing.
The PlateRite FX1524 is a larger-sized version of the well-received PlateRite FX870 platesetter, and offers the same outstanding imaging quality thanks to Screen’s proven thermal laser technology and unique halftone dot structure, developed specifically for flexo printing.
Delivering exception results imaging at either 2,400dpi or 2540 dpi (with a 4,000 dpi high-resolution option), the PlateRite FX1524 is compatible with plates from TOK (Ohkaflex), DuPont, Flint Group (BASF), Toray, McDermid and Asahi. The PlateRite FX1524 also features the easy-loading system from the PlateRite FX870, increasing productivity and operator ease-of-use.
The PlateRite FX1524 is compatible with Screen’s specially-developed packaging workflow PackStudio SE. Based upon the industry-standard ESKO Artwork “ArtPro” system, PackStudio SE is integrated into Screen’s established Trueflow workflow. In addition, the PlateRite FX1524 can be integrated with any third-party workflow system.
The PlateRite FX1524 is the latest addition to Screen’s unrivalled range of CTP output engines, offering a product line that addresses industry needs for reliability and productivity, both now and into the future.

Screen also announces the appointment of Jet Europe BV as official distributor for both the PlateRite FX870 and PlateRite FX1524.
