Nordson to Grow in South Africa with Acquisition of MLT Systems Holdings
Thursday 07. August 2008 - Nordson Corporation (Nasdaq: NDSN) today reported that it has acquired MLT Systems Holdings (Pty) Ltd. and its subsidiary MLT Application Systems (Pty) Ltd. of Cape Town, South Africa. Revenues of MLT were not disclosed.
MLT employs a total of 15, operates additional field offices in Johannesburg and Durban, and has been the exclusive distributor of Nordson products in South Africa since 1989. Today the company distributes and services Nordsons adhesive dispensing, EFD and Primarc UV product lines.
“For twenty years, we have had a very strong partnership with MLT,” said Edward P. Campbell, Nordson Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer. “We have mutually agreed that this transaction is the next step in our relationship and the best way to continue growing Nordsons business in the country of South Africa and the greater region.”
