AVT Announces Digital Advertising Pilot With Coke
Wednesday 30. July 2008 - AVT, Inc. (formerly Automated Vending Technologies) (Pink Sheets: AVTC), in a cooperative agreement, announced that it has deployed AVTi Media Advertising Signage Equipment for the initial phase of a three-to-six month advertising campaign with the world's largest beverage company, Coca-Cola.
The statement today came from AVT’s founder Shannon Illingworth who was instrumental in discussions and administrating the project with Coke. “We have retrofitted our AVTi digital advertising signage hardware/software into multiple Coca-Cola vending systems located at Laguna Hills Shopping Mall in Laguna Hills, California, for the initial stage of a multi-phase southern California base pilot program with Coke,” said Mr. Illingworth. “This is both a grand opportunity for AVT to be involved with one of the world’s largest icons in the bottling industry as well as creating an opportunity for Coca-Cola to be part of type of network that it is so familiar with branding and disseminating information.”
“The large sized advertising LCDs retrofitted into Coke vending systems are connected by Verizon’s 3G state of the art cellular modems which link all the systems to the Internet, which in turn links to AVT’s dynamic server located in Corona California,” stated Issac Bills, one of AVT’s IT specialists. On the server resides a patent pending enterprise critical software application which can dynamically control and update the content on any Coke vending systems at push of a few keystrokes. This software is capable of administrating control from a PC located anywhere a connection to the Internet can be made.
Jointly Coke and AVT will invite strategic companies to advertise on the network thereby yielding product or services recognition and market branded while generating revenue from the growing network of advertising Coke vending systems along with other AVTi Media based vending systems. Over the next several weeks, AVT and Coke will be adding additional system thus expanding the network of pre-selected locations for a Southern California presence.
This joint alliance and project with Coca-Cola represents the continued execution and efforts of AVT to remain and position itself at the forefront of the vending machine industry as it competitively and innovatively expands the means in which consumers gain instant access to products and new information.
