RR Donnelley Announces New Release of Venue Virtual Data Room
Friday 11. July 2008 - Provides Even More Intuitive Design, Enhanced Security And Added Controls
R.R. Donnelley & Sons Company (NYSE: RRD – News) today announced significant enhancements to Venue, its virtual data room solution. Since Venue was launched in January 2008 as part of RR Donnelley’s comprehensive Financial Services offering, thousands of legal and financial services professionals have used this virtual data room to speed business processes related to M&A due diligence, IPOs, Securities and Exchange Commission filings and fundraising activities. This latest release gives clients a next generation ability to engage RR Donnelley’s complete suite of services online to further enhance the virtual data room experience.
“Virtual Data Room users have identified security and control as among the most critical components in the user experience. Venue’s ability to disable a user’s permission to print or save a document, to run reports detailing when a document in their workspace has been accessed and to provide all of these features within a state-of-the-art, secure technical infrastructure gives our clients what they have been asking for,” said Tom Juhase, President of RR Donnelley’s Global Capital Markets group.
“We developed this proprietary solution after observing customers’ challenges with the earliest virtual data rooms,” continued Juhase. “These enhancements to Venue are responsive to customers’ requests for even more intuitive performance and deeper integration with a knowledgeable service team.”
Craig Clay, Executive Vice President of Sales and Service, added “With this latest release we have provided users the ability to take documents that are being managed in the secure confines of the Venue workspace and to move them seamlessly into our traditional operations platform – to order EDGAR filing services, translations, or physical copies right online. Venue leverages RR Donnelley’s full complement of our resources to help clients shorten cycle times as they bring deals to market.”
