As the Number of Trueflow Users Hits Historic Level, Newest Version of Workflow Debuts
Thursday 10. July 2008 - Implementation of Screens PDF/JDF-based workflow solution has reached the major milestone of 5,000 worldwide. A ceremony celebrating this historic event was held during the Drupa show.
Since its launch in 2000, Trueflow has systematically evolved from an intelligent RIP application in a CTP environment to a universal workflow with the most advanced PDF processing capabilities for organizing and managing prepress and print- related tasks. With the release of Trueflow SE last year, it became the first workflow in the industry to incorporate the latest Adobe PDF Print Engine as its core. Trueflow SE has been extremely well received. A significant number of customers have purchased Trueflow SE either as an entirely new package or as an upgrade to an existing system.
Now, Trueflow SE Version 6.0 not only improves CTP production, but is also essential for businesses that use print-on-demand devices in a hybrid offset/digital workflow.
New functions in Trueflow SE Version 6.0:
OutlinePDF-Advance: Improved support for impositioned PDF output; font embedding for consistent text quality; outlining of linework; and preservation of original data compression format for more efficient processing.
Digital page inspection: Digital page inspection significantly improves the reliability of output in a digital workflow.
Versioning based on both multiple PDFs and multi-layer PDFs: Individual portions of documents can be replaced as necessary for the intended market, such as manuals published in multiple languages. To create multiple versions at once, the operator simply selects the necessary elements and gives the output command.
PDF Trapeditor: This Adobe Acrobat plug-in allows the operator to edit traps created by Trueflow SE. PDF Trapeditor can be used in both Windows and Mac environments.
